How to install Codex skills and start using them
Installing a Codex skill is only the first step. The real value comes from using the right skill pack for the current project task.
Pick the skill from the catalog
Start from the catalog and filter by task: frontend, testing, security, docs, deployment, automation, or prompting. Add only the skills that matter for the current work.
Codex Skills intentionally routes install commands and final prompt packs through Telegram, so the bot can become the delivery channel for future updates and traffic.
Choose the target agent
Before receiving the final prompt, choose Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or Universal. The same skills can be framed differently depending on the agent.
For Codex, the prompt should be direct: install these skills, read SKILL.md, make a short plan, implement, verify, and report changes and risks.
Keep the pack focused
A focused pack of four to eight skills is usually better than a giant list. If the pack gets too broad, the agent may spend tokens on irrelevant rules.
